Open the bottle list and you immediately realize this isn't a typical restaurant wine program — someone here is genuinely obsessed with Spanish sparkling wine. The cava and Corpinnat section alone has more depth than most dedicated wine bars we've visited. This is a list with a point of view.
The heavy focus is on sparkling: Penedès, Alella, Canary Islands, even a Portuguese Bairrada pét nat from Alta Alella sneaks in alongside a Chilean traditional method from Schwaderer. Producers like Gramona, Recaredo, and Raventós i Blanc are serious names — these aren't grocery store cavas, they're estate-driven, extended-aged bottles that most restaurants don't bother sourcing. The list does venture into still wines too, but the sparkling program is clearly where the love lives. Two Champagne entries — Pierre Gimonnet and Jeaunaux-Robin — round out the top end without feeling like obligatory additions.
Ten by-the-glass options at $10–$14 is a comfortable range for a Spanish tapas spot, and the pricing won't shock anyone. We'd want to know which bottles rotate into the glass program, since the bottle list has some gems worth pouring by the glass. If they're cycling in any of the Gramona or Recaredo bottles, that's a serious win.
Sumarroca Gran Reserva, Brut Nature 2018 — $53
A Gran Reserva Cava from Sumarroca at $53 is genuinely fair. Extended aging, zero dosage, and a producer with real credibility in Penedès — this drinks well above its price tag.
Los Bermejos Brut Nature Rosado, Lanzarote 2019
Volcanic soil, Canary Islands, and a pét nat-adjacent energy — this is one of the most interesting bottles on the list and most tables will walk right past it. Don't.
Jeaunaux-Robin Éclats de Meulière, Extra Brut
At $139, this Champagne is the most expensive bottle on the list and the only one that feels a bit out of place. It's a fine grower Champagne, but the markup here doesn't have the same value story as the rest of the list. Spend $86 on the Recaredo and feel smarter about it.
Gramona Imperial, Brut, Corpinnat 2014 + Jamón Ibérico
A decade-aged Corpinnat from one of the category's defining producers meets Spain's finest cured ham. The oxidative complexity and fine bubbles cut through the fat without fighting the salinity — this is the Spanish sparkling-and-charcuterie pairing done at its absolute best.
The Bottom Line
Barcelona Wine Bar Fairfield has built a sparkling wine program that punches way above what you'd expect from a suburban tapas chain — the cava and Corpinnat depth is legitimately impressive. Come for the bubbles, stay for the jamón.

Sorrento is doing something genuinely worth paying attention to in a city not known for wine bars — a 20-glass list anchored in Italian producers, priced fairly, and accessible enough to drink through the whole menu. Send your wine-curious friends here; they'll leave more interested in Barbera and Falanghina than when they walked in.
