Wingman Metrics
Alma Cocina walks the line between sleek downtown dining room and tequila-forward bar — and the wine list feels like it got the memo late. The regional anchors are there (Spain, Argentina, a nod to Mexico's Guadalupe Valley), but the selection reads more like a curated shortlist than a deep dive.
The wine program leans on familiar Iberian geography — Rías Baixas, Rioja, Penedès, Valdeorras — which makes sense given the Latin American lens of the kitchen. Mendoza covers the South American angle, and there's a Guadalupe Valley pick that shows someone was paying attention. Napa slips in as the obligatory big-ticket California cameo. What's missing is the kind of depth or producer specificity that would make this list genuinely exciting rather than serviceable.
We don't have a confirmed count or rotation for the by-the-glass program, so we're not going to guess. What the regional footprint suggests is a short, stable pour list that doesn't change much — reliable for a quick glass before the margaritas take over, but probably not a destination for glass-pour explorers.
The Bottom Line
Alma Cocina is primarily a food-and-cocktail destination — the tequila and mezcal program is where the real energy lives. The wine list covers its bases with Spanish and South American bottles that suit the menu, but don't come here with a wine-first agenda. If wine is central to your night, this is a fine backup; if it's the main event, look elsewhere downtown.

Paschal's earns its reputation on the plate — the fried chicken alone justifies the trip to Northside Drive. But the wine list isn't doing the food any favors, and there's no evidence of a serious program behind the bar. Order a cocktail, ask for sweet tea, or bring your own if corkage allows — and focus on what this kitchen actually does well.

Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta's wine list is a Lazy List by every measure — grocery store brands, steep markups, no specials, and a rotating staff with little incentive to know what's in the glass. If you're here for the memorabilia and the atmosphere, lean into a cocktail or a beer. If wine is non-negotiable, the Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling or Columbia Crest Cab will get you through the night without regret.

Bar Blanc earns the Wild Card badge not by accident but by conviction — this is a short list assembled with a real point of view, priced fairly, and anchored by producers most Atlanta wine lists haven't discovered yet. We'd send a friend here any night they want to drink something genuinely interesting without being lectured about it.

No Mas! Cantina earns its reputation on agave, atmosphere, and birria tacos — not on its wine list. If wine is your thing, you'll find a functional but uninspiring selection that won't embarrass anyone but won't impress either. Order the margarita, enjoy the room, and save your wine curiosity for somewhere that shares it.

Six Feet Under isn't trying to be a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend to be — but the pricing is fair, nearly everything pours by the glass, and the Cava and Calafuria Rosé give you honest options that actually make sense with seafood. If you're here for the food and want something decent in your glass without overthinking it, this list does the job.

Holy Taco isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — but they've slipped a couple of genuinely interesting bottles (La Fage Miraflors, Marietta Old Vine, Mont Marcal Cava) into an otherwise approachable list, which is more than most taco spots can say. If you show up thirsty and curious, you'll find something worth drinking.

Come to The Bebedero for the cocktails, the tacos, and the good time — the wine list is an afterthought and should be treated like one. If wine is your thing tonight, order a margarita instead.

Margarita's isn't a wine destination and has no ambitions to become one — order a margarita and move on. If someone at your table insists on wine, the Crowded House Sauvignon Blanc is the least painful exit.

Sabor isn't a destination wine stop, but it's a genuinely honest program that doesn't embarrass itself — fair prices, regional relevance, and a Catena pour that punches above its surroundings. If you're eating here, you're drinking here, and you won't be disappointed.
