Since 2013, owner Sarah Pierre has made 3 Parks a community institution for wine education. While technically a wine shop, both locations (Glenwood Park and Old Fourth Ward on the BeltLine) function-on neighborhood wine bars with daily tastings and flights. The Glenwood Park location offers $15 outdoor educational wine flights (three half-glasses daily). The O4W location pours $25 flights in crystal stemware. Pierre's selection focuses on organic and biodynamic bottles designed to expand your palate.
Weekly Wednesday evening tastings ($10 to $15) sample 3 to 4 bottles with discussion of grapes, region, and producers. It is the antithesis of a stuffy wine shop: game nights, live music at the curb, and genuine community. The personal touch makes newcomers feel welcome and regulars feel like family.
3 Parks is reliable in the best sense: consistently good selections, educational approach, and a community atmosphere that makes wine approachable. Two locations give you options, and the BeltLine spot is perfect for a casual flight after a walk.
✔️ The Bottom Line
3 Parks Wine Shop is where Atlanta goes to learn about wine without pretense. Educational flights, organic focus, two locations, and a community-first approach that makes everyone feel like a regular.
West Midtown · Atlanta · Alpine / European
Avize is doing something genuinely rare in Atlanta: building a short wine list with actual conviction, pointed straight at the corners of Europe that deserve more attention. If you eat here and don't order something you've never heard of, you're doing it wrong.

By George is a fine place to drink wine if you know what you're walking into — a curated-but-safe list built for a stylish crowd that wants rosé and bubbles without friction. Come for the Crémant and the Tavel; don't expect to find anything that'll make you rethink your relationship with wine.

Nine Mile Station isn't a destination for wine nerds, but it's a perfectly decent place to drink something cold and recognizable while the Atlanta skyline does the heavy lifting. Come for the view, drink the Crémant, ignore the Rombauer.

Vin Atl is doing something most Atlanta wine bars aren't: curating a short list with genuine intention instead of padding it with safe bets. At these prices, it's worth a stop even if you only come for one bottle.

St. Julep is a place to drink wine, not a place to drink well. If you're here for the skyline and the scene, pour the rosé and enjoy it — just don't come expecting the list to surprise you.

BeltLine · Atlanta · Cocktail Bar with Kitchen
The James Room is a cocktail bar first and a wine destination never — but the list is competent enough to get you through a bottle without frustration. Come for the atmosphere, order the Cava or the Sancerre, and let the cocktail menu handle the heavy lifting.

West Asheville · Asheville · Wine Shop & Bar
Metro Wines won't blow your mind with rare allocations, but it's exactly what a neighborhood wine spot should be: approachable, fairly priced, and stocked by people who care. Come for a bottle, stay for a glass, leave smarter than when you walked in.
