White Duck's wine list surprises for a fast-casual taco spot. It's short and approachable, leaning into crowd-pleasers that pair well with spicy, creative tacos. The vibe says "we care enough to offer more than beer and margaritas."
The list skews toward accessible whites and lighter reds that can handle heat and acid. Expect Spanish Albariño, Argentine Torrontés, and some California Pinot Noir alongside a few safe Malbecs. There's no deep cellar here, but for a counter-service taco joint, the effort is notable. Gaps exist in natural wines and anything adventurous, but that's not what people come here for. It's a utilitarian list that does its job without pretension.
By-the-glass pours rotate slowly but hit the basics: a crisp white, a fruit-forward rosé, and a red that won't fight your Thai Chili Tacos. We've seen about four options available on typical visits. Pours are generous and priced fairly for the category—think $8-10 range. Rotation is minimal, so don't expect weekly changes.
Martín Códax Albariño — $32
Citrus-driven Spanish white that cuts through spice and won't break the bank—drinks like a $45 bottle elsewhere
Bodega Catena Zapata 'Vista Flores' Malbec
Most people grab the cheap Malbec, but this mid-tier Argentine has actual structure and complexity for duck confit tacos
Any house Chardonnay over $35
Overpriced oak bombs that clash with citrus-forward taco profiles—stick to whites with acidity
Jaume Serra Cristalino Brut Cava + Baja Fish Taco
The bubbles and minerality cut through fried fish and creamy slaw like they were made for each other
✔️ The Bottom Line
White Duck punches above its weight for a taco counter. The list is small but smart, prices are honest, and you can actually drink wine with your tacos without feeling like you're trying too hard. Worth it.

The Blackbird is doing wine right in a town that's more known for craft beer — there's a real sommelier (Sarah Reder) behind this list and it shows. Send your wine-curious friends here without hesitation.

Sunset Terrace isn't a wine destination — it's a destination where wine happens to be available and handled competently. Come for the mountains and the steak, order the Ridge or the Sonoma-Cutrer, and enjoy the fact that at least nobody's pouring you something terrible.

Jargon is doing something real with wine in a neighborhood that doesn't demand it, and that's exactly why it deserves your attention. Send a friend here — just tell them to skip the Napa Cab and ask about the Minervois.

The Dining Room is genuinely worth the trip, and not just because of the mansion backdrop — the sommelier team is real, the cellar is serious, and Wednesday half-price wine night turns a splurge into a steal. Markups on the prestige bottles are steep, but the overall program earns its Best of Award of Excellence.
