Wingman Metrics
The wine list at The Blind Pig is exactly what you'd expect from a cocktail bar that added wine because it had to — 13 labels, zero surprises, maximum familiarity. This is a list built for people who say 'I'll just have a glass of Cab' and mean it. If you came here hoping to geek out over a Jura Chardonnay, you took a wrong turn somewhere.
Thirteen bottles, and nearly half of them are names you'd recognize from the grocery store wine aisle: 19 Crimes, Josh, Juggernaut. The California-heavy focus isn't inherently a problem, but when your white selection peaks at Le Crema and your red anchor is Josh Cab, the ambition is clearly minimal. There's a token nod to Italy with the Trevisana Pinot Grigio, a German Riesling from Schlink Haus that actually shows some range, and the Soleil Des Alpes adds a faint whiff of France — but these feel like afterthoughts rather than curation. No real depth, no interesting producers, no reason to linger on the wine page.
Here's the one genuinely decent thing: every bottle on the list is also available by the glass, so at least you're not locked into a full bottle of something mediocre. Glass pours run $10–$18, which is fair for White Plains, though the Schlink Haus Riesling at $18 a pour starts to sting. Rotation looks nonexistent — this list feels like it hasn't changed since opening day.
19 Crimes Red Blend 2018 Australia — $12/glass, $30/bottle
At $30 a bottle, this is the only option on the list where you're not being quietly punished for ordering wine. It's a simple, crowd-pleasing red, but the bottle price is honest and the pour price is the lowest on the menu. Drink it without guilt.
Schlink Haus Riesling 2023 Germany
A German Riesling in a cocktail bar in White Plains is genuinely unexpected, and Schlink Haus delivers a bright, off-dry pour that will confuse and then convert anyone who orders it. It's the only bottle here that signals someone thought about wine for more than five minutes.
Schlink Haus Riesling 2023 Germany
Love the pick, hate the price — $75 a bottle and $18 a glass for a mid-tier German Riesling is a serious overstep. Stick to the glass pour if you want it, but do not order the bottle unless someone else is paying.
Trevisana Pinot Grigio 2022 Italy + Bar snacks or charcuterie board
A light, neutral Pinot Grigio won't fight anything on a snack-heavy bar menu. It's the kind of wine that stays out of the food's way, which is exactly what you want when you're grazing through a board of cured meats and cheese at a cocktail bar.
❌ The Bottom Line
The Blind Pig is a cocktail bar first and a wine program in name only — the list is short, the markups are uneven, and the selection won't excite anyone who actually cares about wine. Order a cocktail, they're probably better at it.
Main Street / Downtown · White Plains · Mediterranean / Rooftop Lounge
Mediterraneo is a solid rooftop spot where the vibe does a lot of heavy lifting and the wine list mostly keeps pace — just don't come looking for discovery or deals. Order the Assyrtiko, enjoy the view, and leave Whispering Angel for the table next to you.

Court Street / Downtown · White Plains · Italian / Private Dining
Mulino's wine program does its job without embarrassing itself — it's the reliable Italian uncle of wine lists, never exciting but never a disaster. If someone else is paying, reach for the Brunello; if you're on your own dime, manage expectations and order accordingly.

Downtown White Plains · White Plains · Italian
Mulino's is a reliable restaurant wine list doing its job without embarrassing itself — fair prices, decent Italian representation, and enough by-the-glass options to find something that works. Don't come here expecting a deep cellar moment, but you won't be stuck drinking bad wine either.

City Center · White Plains · Asian, Chinese-inspired chain
P.F. Chang's White Plains is not a wine destination, but it's not a disaster either — come on a Wednesday when everything is half off and suddenly a $40 Coppola Pinot at $20 feels like a reasonable night out. Any other night, manage your expectations and stick to the glass pours.

Tarrytown Road / Westchester Avenue junction · White Plains · American Diner
City Limits Diner is a great spot for a satisfying all-day meal in White Plains, but the wine list exists purely as a formality — overpriced pours of familiar labels with almost no curation or care. Order a cocktail, enjoy the crab cake, and save the serious bottle for somewhere that earned it.

Francesco's isn't a wine destination, but it's an honest neighborhood Italian with fair prices and enough on the list to drink well without stressing about it. If you go in expecting solid comfort over discovery, you'll leave happy.
