Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Texas Roadhouse Melbourne reads like the shelf of a gas station that also sells Wranglers. It exists, technically, but nobody at this table — including the staff — is thinking about it. The focus here is beer, buckets of something frozen, and those legendary rolls.
Fifteen to twenty-five wines sounds like a list until you see what's on it: Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, Sutter Home, Beringer White Zinfandel. These are supermarket staples marked at supermarket prices, which is about the only nice thing we can say. There is no regional exploration here, no interesting producer, no reason to linger on this page. California shows up as the sole flag planted, but it's the California of convenience stores, not wine country.
Six to ten pours by the glass at $6–$10, which is honest pricing for what you're getting. Don't expect rotation or curation — this list has been set and forgotten, probably since the location opened. Order the draft beer instead and save yourself the existential sadness.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon — $8
If you're drinking wine here, this is the one. It's a known quantity, inoffensive, and at this price point you're not losing sleep over it. It's the least-bad option on a short list.
Sutter Home Merlot
Nobody orders Merlot at a Texas Roadhouse in 2024, which means nobody's going to judge you either. It's soft, simple, and kind of perfect for not thinking about wine while you eat a pound of ribs.
Beringer White Zinfandel
White Zin in 2024 is a hard pass. Sweet, flat, and a relic of a wine era best left behind. There is genuinely no scenario at this restaurant where this is the right call.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon + Hand-Cut Steaks
Cab and steak is the most reliable formula in existence, and even at this level it holds. The wine won't elevate the steak, but it won't fight it either — and sometimes that's enough.
❌ The Bottom Line
Texas Roadhouse is not a wine destination and makes zero pretense of being one — we respect the honesty, even if we can't respect the list. Order the rolls, order the ribs, order a beer, and let the wine page collect dust.
