Six wines. That's the list. At a fast-casual spot built around thoughtful California produce and scratch cooking, the wine program feels like it was assembled during a fifteen-minute Costco run. The ambition that goes into the food clearly did not make it to the beverage menu.
The roster here is Apothic Rosé, two Chardonnays (Salmon Creek and Kali Hart), Old Soul Pinot Noir, Salmon Creek Cabernet Sauvignon, and Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon — a lineup you'd recognize from any mid-tier grocery store wine aisle. Kali Hart is a step above the others, a Talbott Vineyards label from Monterey with some actual pedigree, but it's the lone bright spot in an otherwise flat selection. No whites beyond Chardonnay, no rosé alternatives, no sparkling, and nothing remotely adventurous for a restaurant that calls California its identity. The regional diversity you'd hope for — a Central Coast Grenache, a Sonoma Pinot, anything with a sense of place — is completely absent.
We don't have confirmation on how these six bottles are actually served — whether that's full by-the-glass, bottle-only, or some combination — which tells you something about the lack of a real program here. At a counter-service casual concept, it's likely everything pours by the glass, but there's no rotation, no seasonal swap, and no evidence of anyone tending to this list with any regularity.
The Bottom Line
Tender Greens puts real care into its food, and that makes the wine list feel like an even bigger letdown — six bottles, no pricing transparency, and zero curiosity. Order the food, drink the water, and come back when they decide the wine program deserves the same attention as the salad.

Eureka built a genuinely solid burger-and-beer concept, and the wine list confirms they know exactly where their priorities lie. Come for the burgers, come for the beer — but if wine matters to you tonight, eat somewhere else.

Yard House is a legitimately great spot for a cold draft beer and some bar food with a crowd, but nobody should be coming here for the wine. The list is overpriced, underdeveloped, and exactly what a national chain thinks wine drinkers want — which is to say, not much at all.

P.F. Chang's Irvine Spectrum is never going to be a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — and on Wine Wednesday, with half-price bottles all day, it earns its keep. Show up with a group, order the Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling at $15, and enjoy the lettuce wraps without overthinking it.
