You walk into STK Aventura expecting the wine list to match the room's swagger — big, bold, confident. What you get instead is a greatest-hits playlist that feels like it was curated by someone who shops at Total Wine on a deadline. Eighty-eight labels sounds impressive until you realize how many of those slots are occupied by Moët variants and La Marca in three different formats.

The list leans heavily on recognizable brand names — Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Nicolas Feuillatte on the sparkling side, and Bonanza Cab doing most of the heavy lifting for reds. Sparkling and rosé are clearly where the energy went, with multiple Moscato d'Asti options from Ceretto and Michele Chiarlo showing a rare flicker of thoughtfulness. Outside of those, the list is built for people who order by name recognition, not for anyone looking to explore. Gaps in serious red wine depth — exactly what you'd want at a steakhouse — are glaring.

Three options by the glass is borderline insulting for an 88-bottle list at a steakhouse. All three — Bonanza Cab, Silver Gate Rosé, and Silver Gate Moscato — come in at a flat $9 during happy hour, which is genuinely good value if that's your moment. Outside that window, the BTG program is essentially nonexistent.
