Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Sperry's Cool Springs is exactly what you'd expect from a classic steakhouse — heavy on California Cabs, light on surprises. It's a well-executed formula that gets the job done without ever really trying to impress you. Comfortable, predictable, and priced accordingly.
The list runs 75 to 125 bottles with a clear California-forward lean, anchored by Napa Cabs and the house-labeled Sperry's Cabernet. Duckhorn Vineyards makes an appearance — smart get for a steakhouse crowd that wants a recognizable name they trust. Beyond that, we're looking at a roster of crowd-pleasing American producers with little in the way of European depth, adventurous grapes, or anything that would make a wine-curious diner lean forward in their chair. It's a list built for filet mignon, not for exploration.
The by-the-glass program runs 12 to 18 options, which is respectable range for a steakhouse of this size. The house pour comes in cheap at $5 during happy hour, which is a genuinely good deal even if it's not going to blow your mind. We'd like to see more rotation and a couple of wild-card pours mixed in, but for a Franklin steakhouse crowd, this hits the right notes.
Mid-Tier Napa Cabernet (bottle, Monday half-off) — $35
On Monday nights, Sperry's cuts every bottle on the list in half — all of them, no exclusions, 5 to 10 pm. A Napa Cab that lists around $70 lands at $35, which flips a steep markup into a legitimately fair deal. If you're going to drink California Cab with a ribeye, Monday is the only night to do it here.
Sperry's House-Labeled Cabernet
Nobody orders the house Cab at a steakhouse thinking it'll be interesting — but at $5 a glass during happy hour, the Sperry's label Cabernet is worth a try before you commit to a bottle. It's purpose-built for red meat, it's not trying to be something it isn't, and the value at that price point is hard to argue with.
Duckhorn Vineyards Cabernet (any bottle, non-Monday)
Duckhorn is a solid, reliable producer — but it's also one of the most marked-up names in American steakhouses. At full list price on any night that isn't Monday, you're paying a heavy premium for a bottle you can find at a well-stocked Total Wine. Save it for half-off night or just skip it entirely.
Duckhorn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon + Aged Western Beef Ribeye
Duckhorn's Cab brings enough dark fruit and structure to stand up to the fat and char on a ribeye without overwhelming the beef. It's a classic combination for a reason — and on a Monday, the math actually makes sense.
Monday — Half off all bottles of wine every Monday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm throughout the restaurant. Applies to the full bottle list — no exclusions.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Sperry's Cool Springs is a dependable steakhouse wine list that doesn't ask much of you — and doesn't ask much of itself either. Come on a Monday, grab a bottle at half price, order the ribeye, and you'll have a genuinely good night without overthinking it.
Cool Springs · Franklin · Steakhouse
Perry's Cool Springs is a reliable night out if someone else is paying, but the wine list is doing the bare minimum — crowd-pleasing producers, steep markups, and a noticeable lack of anything that earns its price on merit alone. Stick to Social Hour if you want to drink well without the sticker shock.

Ruth's Chris Franklin is a reliable wine execution at a chain price point — nobody's going home unhappy, but nobody's going home with a story either. Go on a Wednesday, hit the half-price bottle promotion, and drink better than the menu's markup would otherwise allow.

The wine list at Olive Garden Franklin is a corporate checklist, not a wine program — the markups are steep for what you're getting, the selection hasn't taken a risk in its life, and the best move is honestly to order a cocktail or just lean hard into the breadsticks. If you're committed to wine, grab the Chianti and don't look back.

Outback Franklin's wine list is competent in the way a rental car is competent — it gets you where you're going, but you're not going to talk about it later. Order the steak, consider a cocktail, and save the serious bottle for somewhere that actually cares.

Cool Springs · Franklin · Asian fusion / Chinese-inspired chain restaurant
P.F. Chang's Cool Springs is here to feed a crowd, not to impress a wine drinker. The list is fine the way an airport moving walkway is fine — it gets you somewhere, but nobody's excited about it. If you're eating here, pick something by the glass, keep it simple, and save the serious wine for a different night.
