Wingman Metrics
The list at Ripple opens with a full page of sparkling — and we mean a serious one, with Champagne bottles from Bollinger, Veuve Cliquot, and the grower gem Marc Hébrart sitting alongside Crémant, Cava, Blanquette de Limoux, and even a Brachetto. For Cincinnati, this is not what you expect walking in. It's a declaration of intent.
At 64 labels, this isn't a sprawling cellar — but the curation is doing real work. The sparkling section alone covers more ground than most full-service restaurants in the region, pulling from Champagne, Spain, France's southwest, and Italy without repeating itself. Whites veer international and interesting: a Milenrama Viura from Spain, a Modales Grüner Veltliner, a Pullus Orange Wine from Slovenia, and a feinherb Riesling from Brand. The list thins out considerably as you move toward reds, and there's no deep cellar play here, but what's present is genuinely well-chosen rather than just safe.
Thirty-eight by-the-glass options is a bold number for a list this size, and it suggests Ripple's identity is squarely in the pour-and-explore camp. The entry points are accessible — La Vite Prosecco at $8/glass keeps the door open — while glass pours climb to $22 for something more serious. The sparkling-by-the-glass program is the real draw here, with enough options to build an entire evening around bubbles alone.
J Laurens Blanquette de Limoux — $50
Blanquette de Limoux is one of the most undervalued sparkling categories on earth — made from Mauzac, older than Champagne by legend, and consistently crisp and complex. At $50 a bottle, this is the table order for anyone who wants to look smart without paying Champagne prices.
Pullus Orange Wine 2023
Pullus makes genuinely good Slovenian Pinot Gris with skin contact, and it tends to get glossed over on lists with flashier sparkling options. It's the kind of wine that surprises a table that ordered it on a whim and then argues about whether to get a second bottle.
Ayala Rosé Majeur
At $170, Ayala Rosé Majeur is priced like a destination Champagne but doesn't deliver that moment. It's a perfectly fine, approachable rosé Champagne — but at that price point, the Marc Hébrart 1er Cru at $140 is doing far more interesting work and represents the house's actual Champagne credibility.
Elvio Tintero Moscato 2023 + Cheese Board
Tintero's Moscato from Piedmont is low-alcohol, lightly sweet, and genuinely pretty — a natural close to a cheese board with anything funky or blue on it. It's the kind of pairing that ends a wine bar visit on a high note without anyone needing to make a case for it.

Ripple is punching well above its Cincinnati zip code with a sparkling-forward list that's genuinely thoughtful and mostly fairly priced. If you love bubbles in all their forms, this is your spot — and even if you don't walk in that way, you might walk out converted.
