The wine list at Red Lobster Bismarck is essentially a laminated afterthought tucked behind the cocktail section. You're not here for the wine program — and the restaurant isn't pretending otherwise. What you get is a short, safe roster of approachable national brands built for volume, not discovery.
The list leans heavily on familiar grocery-store names: Mark West Pinot Noir, Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio, and likely a handful of similar crowd-pleasers rounding out the category. There's no regional focus, no small producers, no attempt at curation. It's the wine equivalent of a house salad — inoffensive and instantly forgettable. If you came hoping for something to geek out over, you're in the wrong zip code.
The by-the-glass program runs $5 pours, which is the most interesting thing about it. You're getting six ounces of drinkable, mass-market wine at a price that's genuinely hard to argue with. Don't expect rotation or seasonal additions — this menu was set and hasn't moved since.
Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio NV — $5
At $5 for a six-ounce pour of a bottle that retails around $12, you're actually not getting hosed. It's a perfectly serviceable, light Italian-style Pinot Grigio for a chain restaurant price. Low bar, cleared.
Mark West Pinot Noir NV
It's no secret bottle, but at $5 a glass it's the most food-friendly red on a seafood menu. Lighter body, soft tannins — it actually makes sense with salmon or a lighter fish dish in a way a Cab never would.
Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio NV
If you're ordering a second or third glass, the math stops working in your favor fast. You'd be better off asking whether they carry a bottle you can split at the table — the per-glass model is only a deal once.
Mark West Pinot Noir NV + Wood-Grilled Salmon
Pinot Noir and salmon is one of the few red-with-fish calls that actually holds up. The light body and red fruit in Mark West don't fight the fish the way a heavier red would, and the char from the grill gives the wine something to work with.
The Bottom Line
The wine list is exactly what you'd expect from a national chain — minimal effort, minimal reward. The $5 pours keep it from being a total write-off, but you're not coming to Red Lobster Bismarck for the wine, and nobody expects you to.

Kobe's is a fun night out for the hibachi show and the sushi — just don't expect the wine list to be part of that fun. Order a Japanese beer, grab the house pour if you need wine, and save the serious drinking for somewhere else.

Old Town Tavern is a solid neighborhood pub that happens to have wine on the menu — emphasis on 'happens to.' Come for the steak dinner and the patio, order a beer or a cocktail, and treat the $5 Coastal Vines as a convenience, not a destination.

Olive Garden Bismarck is a fine place to eat breadsticks and catch up with family. Pirogue Grille is doing the right things for Bismarck — a real wine list, proper glassware, and enough by-the-glass options to keep a table happy. The markups trend steep and the list plays it safe, but if you want a serious bottle with a serious steak in the middle of North Dakota, this is where you go.
