Seventy labels, 37 by-the-glass options, and a price range that starts at $9.50 a pour — Perry's isn't trying to be a wine bar, but they're clearly not phoning it in either. The list is organized, approachable, and priced without the shamelessness you'd expect from a corporate steakhouse chain. It reads like someone actually thought about it.
The list leans predictably California-heavy — Sonoma, Russian River Valley, Monterey — with a few international detours worth noting. There's a house-labeled Perry's Reserve line covering Rosé, Chardonnay, and a Premier Cru Champagne sourced from Chigny-les-Roses, which is a legitimately good village in the Montagne de Reims. The Marqués de Cáceres Excellens Tempranillo from Rioja and the DBR Lafite 'Les Légendes' Bordeaux blend add some old-world credibility, even if they're entry-level expressions from those houses. Don't expect much outside of the California-France-Spain triangle — this isn't the list for chasing obscure growers or natural wine rabbit holes.
Thirty-seven by-the-glass options is genuinely impressive for a suburban steakhouse, and the spread covers sparkling, white, rosé, and red with enough depth that you're not stuck choosing between two Chardonnays. Prices run $9.50 to $49 a glass, with most of the interesting drinking happening in the $10–$16 range. The glass-to-bottle pricing ratio looks reasonable across the board — you're not getting gouged for the convenience of a pour.
The Bottom Line
Perry's Friendswood isn't going to blow any wine nerds' minds, but it's a solid, fairly priced list with enough range to keep most tables happy — and 37 by-the-glass options means nobody is stuck drinking something they hate. If you're here for a steak, grab the Dr. Loosen Riesling or the Crémant and don't overthink it.

Perry's is a reliable steakhouse wine list — well-stocked by the glass, recognizable labels, and competent enough to get through a nice dinner without frustration. The markups lean steep across the board, and the list won't surprise anyone, but the Dr. Loosen by the glass and the Rioja bottle are genuinely good calls if you know to look for them. Send a friend here for a steak dinner and tell them to skip the house Champagne.

Six bottles shouldn't work this well, but The Palm Houston's list reads like someone with actual taste had five minutes and zero budget to fix the wine program — and somehow nailed it. We can't speak to service knowledge or storage conditions with confidence, but the value here, especially that Lucien Crochet at $23, is hard to argue with. If you're eating at The Palm anyway, ignore every instinct to order something familiar and trust the list.
