Wingman Metrics
Twenty-one labels isn't a sprawling cellar, but Parkside District keeps almost everything available by the glass — and that's a genuine commitment to flexibility. The list reads like a greatest-hits of American casual dining: California Cabs, crowd-friendly Chardonnays, a Prosecco, a Moscato. Nothing surprising, but nothing embarrassing either.
The backbone is firmly Californian, with three Cabernet Sauvignons (Bonanza, St Francis, and Quilt) anchoring the reds alongside a Merlot from R Strong and a Zinfandel from Angela's Table. Whites lean into the approachable lane — two Sauvignon Blancs, two Pinot Grigios, two Chardonnays — with a Nik Weis Urban Riesling as the one gesture toward something more interesting. Old World representation is minimal: Tramin's Alto Adige Pinot Grigio and a Domaine Bosquet Malbec are about it, and there's a noticeable absence of anything from Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Rhône, or Spain. For Lawrenceville on a Tuesday night, this gets the job done; for anyone looking to explore, it hits a ceiling fast.
Nearly the entire list is available by the glass, which is a real strength — you can range from a $9 Champagne Brut pour up to a $21 glass of Quilt Cab without committing to a bottle. Twenty glass options across 21 labels is essentially the whole card, and that kind of access matters at a neighborhood spot where tables aren't ordering multiple bottles. Rotation doesn't appear to be a priority, but the breadth at least compensates.
The Bottom Line
Parkside District plays it safe and plays it competently — this is a list built for the broadest possible audience, and the near-total by-the-glass availability is genuinely useful. If you're looking for discovery or depth, you'll hit the edges quickly; if you want a solid glass of something recognizable at a fair price while you eat dinner, you'll leave satisfied. Worth recommending to friends who don't want to think too hard about wine — not worth a detour for anyone who does.
