Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Novu Cucina reads like someone actually cared β 65 labels organized by Italian sparkling, whites and rosΓ©s, and reds, with a clear commitment to the boot from top to bottom. At first glance, it skews heavily Italian, which at an Italian restaurant is exactly the right call and unfortunately rarer than it should be. This isn't a list padded with Meiomi Pinot Noir and Josh Cab to keep the unadventurous comfortable.
The list earns points for genuine regional range: you've got Friulian whites, a Franciacorta, Lugana, Soave Classico, Roero Arneis, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Verdicchio β this is not a Greatest Hits of Northern Italy situation, it's actual homework. The sparkling section alone is worth a look, with Billecart-Salmon sitting alongside Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta and the cheeky Borgoluce Lampo Prosecco Brut, so you're not stuck choosing between Champagne and grocery-store bubbles. The red section isn't showcased in our current data but the white game here is genuinely strong for an Atlanta Italian restaurant. The $45β$295 bottle range gives real entry points without feeling like a budget list.
Twenty-four by-the-glass options is a serious commitment and almost certainly means they're running a Coravin or doing solid enough volume to keep these fresh β 24 pours gone stale would be a disaster. The glass prices run $14β$23, which is honest money for the quality level on offer here. That you can pour the Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis or the Inama 'Foscarino' Soave Classico by the glass without committing to a bottle is genuinely generous.
Zenato Trebbiano di Lugana San Benedetto 2023 β $14β$23/glass
Lugana is one of Italy's most undervalued white wine regions, and Zenato is the benchmark producer. Whether this comes in at the low or high end of the glass range, you're drinking serious white wine β textured, mineral, and built to last β for the price of a mediocre cocktail.
Podere Cipolla-Denny Bini Lambrusco dell'Emilia
Most people skip past Lambrusco because their only reference is the syrupy Riunite their parents drank in the '80s. Denny Bini makes the real thing β dry, fizzy, dark-fruited, and a little funky in the best way. It's the kind of wine that makes a table of skeptics into instant converts, and almost no one orders it.
Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brut
Billecart-Salmon is a fine house, no argument there, but at an Italian restaurant with Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta already on the list, ordering French Champagne feels like ordering a burger at a sushi spot. You're almost certainly paying a premium for the label recognition, and the Franciacorta will be more interesting with the food.
Inama 'Foscarino' Soave Classico 2022 + Pasta with seafood or a white-sauced primi
Foscarino is one of Soave's top single-vineyard bottlings β Garganega with real weight and a saline, volcanic-mineral edge. It's built for Italian seafood pasta or anything cream-adjacent without going full buttery Chardonnay. The acidity cuts, the texture matches, and it tastes like you know what you're doing.
π² The Bottom Line
Novu Cucina's wine list punches well above its weight for an Atlanta Italian restaurant β Italian-focused, honestly priced, and deep enough by the glass to make a meal out of just exploring the whites. Send your friends here and tell them to skip the Champagne.
Buckhead Β· Atlanta Β· Hotel Restaurant / American
Astor Court is a beautiful room attached to a wine list that stopped trying. Unless you're expensing it or you're here for the Sancerre, the bar program will treat you better than the wine list will.

Azara's list is genuinely more interesting than it has any obligation to be for a tapas restaurant, and the by-the-glass program alone makes it worth exploring. Go in with an open mind, skip the Chardonnay, and let the Greek and Iberian wines do the talking.

Gigi's has no business having a wine list this interesting for an Atlanta neighborhood Italian spot β and we mean that as high praise. If you're willing to trust the list and skip the Pinot Grigio reflex, you'll drink very well here.

Clark's isn't trying to be a wine destination, but it's trying harder than most Atlanta steakhouses, and that effort shows in picks like the AligotΓ© and the Numanthia. If you're here for beef and want something smarter than the default Napa Cab, this list will reward a little attention.

Divan is a place where people come to celebrate, not geek out, and the wine list reflects that honestly β it's Champagne-forward, crowd-pleasing, and marked up accordingly. The Fazeli Cellars exclusives are a genuinely smart touch that elevates the whole program just enough to make it worth exploring.

Hopstix is here to sell you craft beer and it does that job well β but the wine list is a genuine overachiever for its context, with fair prices and at least two bottles worth getting excited about. Send a wine-drinking friend here without apology.

La Florentina isn't a wine destination β it's a neighborhood Italian with a wine list that knows its lane and stays in it. Come for the pizza, order the Chianti carafe, and don't overthink it.

Savona's is a reliable neighborhood Italian with a wine list that mostly stays in its lane β nothing offensive, nothing thrilling, and markups that sting a little on the familiar names. Come on a Wednesday when the bottles are half price, order the Millbrook Tocai Friulano, and you'll have a genuinely good night on the Rondout waterfront.
