The wine list at Mezcalito's is exactly what you'd expect from a neighborhood cantina — short, affordable, and built for people who want something cold in a glass without overthinking it. Twelve labels at $7–$10 a glass and $30–$36 a bottle means you're not breaking the bank no matter what you grab. It's not trying to be a wine bar, and that's fine.
The list splits cleanly into whites and reds, with a small rosé entry in between. On the white side, you've got the usual suspects — Koha Sauvignon Blanc, McManis Pinot Grigio — alongside a genuinely interesting outlier in the La Petite Roche Anjou Chenin Blanc 2022, which feels almost accidental on a list like this. The reds lean Spanish, with the Anciano No5 Crianza Tempranillo Rioja and the Zestos Garnacha giving the list some actual regional character. The Punta Pays Malbec rounds out the South American contingent without doing anything particularly exciting.
Every bottle on the list is available by the glass, which means all twelve options are pourable — a smart move at these prices. At $7–$10 a pour, there's zero reason not to go glass for glass and try a couple. Rotation doesn't appear to happen much, but at this price point, it's hard to complain.
Anciano No5 Crianza Tempranillo Rioja — $10/glass
A proper Rioja Crianza — oak-aged, food-friendly, and built for tacos — at $10 a glass is a genuine deal. This is the move.
La Petite Roche Anjou Chenin Blanc 2022
Nobody orders Chenin Blanc at a Mexican cantina, and that's exactly why you should. Loire whites have the acidity and texture to cut through rich salsas and fatty proteins in a way that Pinot Grigio just doesn't.
McManis Pinot Grigio
It's a perfectly inoffensive Central Valley Pinot Grigio, but it's also the most forgettable thing on the list. There are better options at the same price point right next to it.
Zestos Garnacha + Carne Asada Tacos
Garnacha's red fruit and earthy spice are a natural match for charred, cumin-rubbed beef. It's the kind of pairing that makes you wonder why you ever reached for a margarita.
The Bottom Line
Mezcalito's isn't a wine destination, but its list punches above its weight on value and has just enough Spanish character to make it interesting. If you're here for tacos, order the Rioja and don't look back.

Sushi By Bou is clearly here to serve great fish — and the wine list confirms that wine is very much an afterthought. Order the Dom if you're feeling flush or the Hampton Water if you're being sensible, and let the food do the heavy lifting.
