Wingman Metrics
Open the wine list at Little Alley Steak and the first thing you notice is bubbles — a lot of them. The sparkling section reads like a Champagne house directory, from entry-level Lamarca all the way up to Krug Brut Rosé at $650. It's an ambitious opening statement for a steakhouse in suburban Roswell.
With 73 labels, the list covers Champagne and sparkling in serious depth — Bollinger, Louis Roederer, Dom Pérignon, Cristal, Telmont, Charles Heidsieck — this section alone has range and intention. The white wine section, based on what's visible, leans on familiar names like William Hill and J. Lohr, which is a significant step down from the ambition of the sparkling program. We'd want to see more from Burgundy, the Loire, or even a bold domestic Chardonnay to match the room. The list covers the expected steakhouse regions but doesn't take many risks outside the bubbles.
Twenty-one by-the-glass options is a strong number, and the glass program runs from $12 for William Hill Chardonnay up to $28 for Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut. It's good to see Champagne available by the glass — that Moët pour gives anyone a real celebration option without committing to a bottle. The Lamarca Prosecco at $13/glass is an easy opener, though we'd love to see more variety in the still wine pours beyond the entry-level crowd-pleasers.
The Bottom Line
Little Alley Steak has built a genuinely impressive Champagne program — uncommon for a suburban steakhouse — and the depth from Collet up through Cristal gives serious wine drinkers something to work with. The markups are real and the still wine program doesn't match the ambition of the sparkling section, but if you're here to pop bottles with a ribeye, there are worse places to do it. Order the Crémant, save your money, and let someone else pay for the Veuve.

Ray's at Killer Creek is a reliable steakhouse wine program — not exciting, probably priced to favor the house, but functional and well-matched to the room it's serving. The Tuesday half-price wine night is the real move here: a polished steakhouse atmosphere with a Napa Cab at half the markup is a solid Tuesday in anyone's book. Go for the filet, drink on a Tuesday, and don't expect the list to surprise you.

The Southern Porch isn't a destination wine list, but it doesn't pretend to be — and that honesty is worth something. Fair prices, full glass availability, and a room that makes you want to linger are a reasonable trade for a short, crowd-pleasing selection. Send a friend here if they want a glass of something easy with their pimento cheese; send a wine-obsessed friend somewhere else.

The Mill Kitchen & Bar earns its Wild Card badge by doing something genuinely unexpected: running an Enomatic wine system with a structured flight program out of a Southern restaurant in the suburbs. The list is small and the markups are real, but the storage is handled right and the flight concept gives curious drinkers a low-commitment way to explore. If you're in Roswell and want more than a generic house pour, this is worth a detour — just budget accordingly.

Cork Haus Roswell is a genuine surprise in the suburban Atlanta wine landscape — a small, focused bottle shop with a buying philosophy that favors interesting over obvious. The natural wine and pét-nat selection alone makes it worth a detour. If you live anywhere near Roswell and you're tired of the same Napa Cab at every restaurant in town, this is your spot.

· Roswell · Spanish/Wine Bar
Barcelona Wine Bar is doing something genuinely unusual for Roswell: running a 47-bottle all-by-the-glass program with real range, fair markups, and a clear Spanish identity that doesn't calcify into predictability. We don't have visibility into food menu specifics or service consistency, but on the wine list alone, this earns a visit. Come thirsty and order something you've never heard of.

Bulla Roswell punches above its weight on Spanish wine selection and keeps pricing honest across a surprisingly deep by-the-glass program. If you're anywhere near Roswell and want a real Rioja with your tapas without paying downtown Atlanta markups, this list earns a genuine recommendation — just stick to the Spanish bottles and don't let anyone talk you into the Belle Glos.

· San Jose · Steakhouse
The Capital Grille San Jose is a reliable but unambitious wine program — it stocks the bottles a Napa-loving business dinner crowd expects and prices them accordingly. If you're looking for discovery or value, you won't find much here; if you need a solid Cab to go with a dry-aged steak and you're on someone else's tab, it does the job.

Kevin Rathbun Steak's by-the-glass program is a legitimate effort in a category — steakhouses — where most restaurants phone it in. The pricing skews steep at the top end and there's no evidence of active wine events or rotation keeping things fresh, but the range is real and a few picks like the Long-Depaquit Chablis and Lachini Pinot Noir punch above their weight. Come for the steak, but don't just default to the house Cab — there's more here if you look.

· San Jose · Steakhouse
Mastro's San Jose is showing us a very specific slice of its wine program — a Judgment of Paris throwback dinner built around two of Napa's most iconic names. It's a fun concept and the selections are legitimate, but we don't have enough visibility into the everyday list to give this a full endorsement as a wine destination. Come for the event if you can get a seat; for a regular Tuesday steak night, the wine picture is still fuzzy.
