It's not a list built for wine nerds, but it doesn't need to be.
The wine program leans into the greatest hits of approachable wine country — California cabs and chards, Spanish Riojas, and some South American options that skew value-driven. There's a nod to Texas wines as well, which earns points for local awareness in a region where that still takes some guts. Don't expect deep verticals or esoteric producers; this is a list built to move bottles alongside ribeyes and oysters, not to challenge anyone's assumptions. The gaps are real — no serious Old World depth, no Burgundy, no Champagne to speak of — but the bones are functional for what Liam's is trying to do.
By-the-glass specifics weren't available to us at review time, which is a minor frustration for a restaurant at this price point — you'd hope for at least a half-dozen solid pours to complement the raw bar. What we can say is that the focus regions (California, Rioja, Argentina) suggest the glass program probably mirrors the bottle list: reliable, crowd-friendly, not particularly adventurous. Worth asking your server what's open that night.

Liam's is a dependable upscale night out in the RGV — the food is clearly the draw, and the wine list does its job without embarrassing anyone. If you're celebrating, you'll find something suitable; if you're deep into wine, manage expectations accordingly.

If you're eating here anyway, you have real options.
