Wingman Metrics
Walking into a winery tasting room inside the Toyota Music Factory entertainment district is not something you expect to work, but here we are. The list is short and entirely house-made, which either signals confidence or limits β probably a bit of both. It reads like a menu built for curious newcomers to Texas wine, not for anyone hunting producers.
Everything on this list is a Landon house wine, which means you're not getting a tour of the wine world β you're getting a tour of one Texas winery's range. That range is broader than you'd expect: a Riesling and Pinot Grigio for the white crowd, a Tempranillo and Amarone-style red for the adventurous, and some fruit wines (Raspberry, Peach, Yellow Rose) that are clearly doing heavy lifting for the casual crowd. The Bordeaux-style Meritage and the Texas-forward 'Texan' blend are the most interesting stops on the list. Gaps are obvious β no sparkling, no rosΓ© worth mentioning beyond the fruit-wine adjacents, and zero outside producers for context or comparison.
Everything is available by the glass, which is the right call for a tasting room format. Glass pours run $8 to $24, which is reasonable at the low end but climbs fast when you reach the Texan or Reserve tier. No rotating BTG program to speak of β what's on the menu is what's on the menu.
Landon Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve β $18.50/glass, $55/bottle
With a retail take-home price of $43, the in-venue markup is reasonable by tasting room standards. It's the best quality-per-dollar on a list where the top tier gets pricey fast.
Landon Winery Tempranillo
Most people at a Texas tasting room reach for the Cab or the Meritage. The Tempranillo is the smarter order β Spanish-style reds at Texas wineries tend to outperform expectations, and it's the kind of wine that surprises people who thought they knew what they were getting.
Landon Winery Signature
At $31.50 a glass or $94 a bottle β against a retail price of $79 β this is a nearly 20% markup on a house wine you can buy on your way out the door. The value math doesn't justify ordering it by the glass or bottle in-venue.
Landon Winery Texan + Texas BBQ Brisket
The 'Texan' blend is built for exactly this: a bold, fruit-forward red that can stand up to smoke and fat without getting lost. The Toyota Music Factory food options around the venue make this a realistic and satisfying combo.
π² The Bottom Line
Landon Winery Irving is a perfectly fine place to drink Texas wine in a lively entertainment district β just don't come expecting discovery or deal hunting. It's a one-winery show, and you'll pay a little more than you should for the privilege of watching it live.
Las Colinas Β· Irving Β· Cajun / Southern
Po Melvin's is almost certainly cooking something worth eating β the wine list just isn't part of the experience. Order the Riesling or Prosecco if you want wine, otherwise stick to a cold beer or whatever's on tap.

The Blue Fish is a fun night out, and the food holds up β but the wine list is running on autopilot. Order the Mumm Napa, enjoy your rolls, and don't expect the list to surprise you.

Las Colinas / Toyota Music Factory Β· Irving Β· Modern American
The Henry Las Colinas isn't a destination for wine lovers, but it's a genuinely solid neighborhood option with fair pricing and a Tuesday half-price program that makes the whole conversation more interesting. Show up on a Tuesday, order the Jordan, and stop overthinking it.

Razzoo's Irving is a great place to eat Cajun food and drink cold beer β the wine program is incidental and treated as such. If your table insists on wine, the Prosecco is your safest exit ramp.

Grimaldi's is worth the trip for the coal-fired pizza; the wine list is not worth thinking about. Order the Chianti or the Nero d'Avola, don't look at the markup math, and focus on the pizza.

Las Colinas Β· Irving Β· American Sports Bar / Casual Dining
Champps Las Colinas is a place to watch a game and drink a beer β the wine list exists as a formality, not a feature. If you're committed to wine anyway, grab the La Marca or the Joel Gott and make peace with it.
