Sky-high views, ground-level wine ambitions

The wine list at Keylor Grand reads exactly like you'd expect from a downtown rooftop bar — familiar names, approachable prices, nothing that's going to make you put down your phone mid-scroll. It's California-heavy with a nod to Washington State, which at least shows some regional self-awareness. The list won't win awards, but it won't embarrass you either.
You're looking at 20-40 bottles anchored by the usual suspects: Caymus, Rombauer, Cakebread, Santa Margherita. Washington State gets a seat at the table, and there's a light French presence, but neither gets fleshed out in any meaningful way. This is a crowd-pleaser list built for a crowd-pleaser venue — the kind of place where most people are ordering the Pinot Grigio because the view is already doing the heavy lifting. Don't come here hunting for esoteric producers or regional deep cuts. Do come knowing that what's on the list is priced fairly enough that you won't feel robbed.
Eight to fourteen pours by the glass is a respectable range for a rooftop setting, and the pricing on most of them is genuinely hard to argue with — $13-$18 a glass for recognizable names is reasonable by any downtown standard. The Rombauer Chardonnay stands out as the glass-pour anchor, carrying name recognition that will keep the regulars happy even if it's not exactly adventurous territory.
Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 — $15
At $15 a glass for a wine that retails around $20, the markup is almost negligible. It's not a complex Cab, but it's a clean, approachable pour at a price point that actually respects the customer. On a Wednesday when bottles are half price, this one becomes a legitimate steal.
Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Knights Valley is a legitimate Sonoma appellation that punches above its reputation — it's sandier and more refined than your standard Napa Cab, and at $18 a glass most people will walk right past it to grab the Caymus. That's their loss. This is a more interesting bottle at a fraction of the price.
Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
At $195 a bottle against a $110 retail price, this is a 77% markup on a wine that's already been squeezed for every last drop of its reputation. Caymus is fine. It's also everywhere, and at this price you're paying a lot for the label. On a Wednesday it drops closer to $97, which is the only version of this purchase we'd sanction.
Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay 2022 + Charcuterie Board
Without a confirmed food menu we're working from the rooftop bar playbook here, but a charcuterie spread is a near-certain fixture on a list like this. Cakebread's Chardonnay brings enough oak and richness to hold up to cured meats and aged cheeses without overwhelming them — it's the safe, crowd-pleasing call that actually makes sense in context.
Wednesday — Half-price bottles of wine all day Wednesday
✔️ The Bottom Line
Keylor Grand is the wine list equivalent of the view itself — looks great from a distance, solid enough up close, but not something you'd cross town for on wine alone. Wednesday half-price bottles are the real reason to make a reservation.

West Downtown / Riverside · Spokane · Barbecue / American Tavern
The Blackbird is a genuinely good barbecue tavern that simply doesn't care about wine, and the steep markups on uninspired bottles make that indifference expensive. Come for the smoked meats and a cold beer — if you insist on wine, grab the Milbrandt and move on.

Downtown Spokane · Spokane · Fondue / Upscale Casual
The Melting Pot Spokane isn't a wine destination, and it's not trying to be — but the Washington State anchors on this list are genuinely good, and if you stick to those, you'll drink well enough for the occasion. Come for the fondue experience, order the Ste. Michelle, and save the serious wine night for somewhere else.

1919 won't blow any minds, but for a hotel bar in downtown Spokane it earns genuine respect for keeping Washington State producers front and center. Come for the room, stay for the Beresan — just don't expect any surprises in the pricing.

The Perch is a rooftop bar that happens to have a decent wine list, not a wine destination that happens to have a rooftop. Come on a Wednesday, order something from the Stag's Leap or Far Niente end of the list, and enjoy the view — that's the move.
