The wine list here is four lines long, and that's being generous. It's less a wine program and more a legal obligation to offer something fermented that isn't beer.
Four bottles, all white, all sitting at $8 flat. Two Pinot Gris options — Mary Hill and Eola Hills — a Mary Hill Chardonnay, and a Barefoot Pinot Grigio that makes zero effort to hide what it is. The Eola Hills label at least nods to the Willamette Valley's serious wine country sitting practically next door, but the list as a whole doesn't follow that lead. There's no red, no rosé, no exploration of the incredible Columbia Gorge producers that Hood River is quite literally surrounded by.
All four wines are available by the glass at $8, which is at least honest and approachable. There's no rotation, no seasonal thinking — what you see today is what you saw six months ago and what you'll see six months from now.
Eola Hills Pinot Gris — $8
Eola Hills is a real Oregon producer making real Oregon wine. At $8 a glass in a taqueria, this is the one bottle on the list that actually belongs in the region it's being poured in.
Mary Hill Chardonnay
Mary Hill is a Columbia Gorge winery — literally local to Hood River — and most people grabbing a margarita here have no idea they're ordering from a producer just down the river. It's not a revelation, but it's more interesting than its surroundings suggest.
Barefoot Pinot Grigio
You're in Hood River, Oregon, surrounded by some of the best Pinot Gris country in the Pacific Northwest, and this is a grocery store brand available at Safeway for $7 a bottle. Skip it and put the $8 toward a second margarita.
Eola Hills Pinot Gris + Fish Tacos
Pinot Gris has enough weight to stand up to the char and spice while keeping things crisp alongside fish. It's the most sensible combination on an otherwise limited menu.
The Bottom Line
Hood River Taqueria is here for the tacos and the margaritas, and that's completely fine — but the wine list is an afterthought and everyone involved knows it. Order the cocktails, leave the wine to restaurants that care.

The Gorge White House isn't trying to compete with a big city wine bar — it's a farm property pouring its own wines at prices that feel almost apologetically fair. If you're driving through Hood River and want a cold glass of something local without being gouged, this is an easy yes. Just don't arrive expecting deep-cellar surprises.

Hood River Inn's wine list is a catering checklist dressed up as a restaurant program. With no producers named, no bottles available, and a selection that ignores the incredible wine region right outside the door, there's no reason to drink wine here specifically. If you're staying at the hotel and need something with dinner, the $11 pours are fair enough — but if wine matters to you at all, Hood River has actual wine bars and tasting rooms worth your time and money.

KickStand punches above its weight class for a cafe wine program — six bottles, almost all of them local, with real producers worth knowing. We can't speak to pricing or service confidence without more data, but if you're already in Hood River and want a glass of something made within shouting distance of where you're sitting, this list is doing the right thing in a small package.

Wy'East Vineyards is a short list with a long point of view — estate wines from varieties that have no business growing in Oregon, priced like the winery actually wants you to buy them. If you're anywhere near Hood River and you care even a little about what's possible outside the Pinot Noir monoculture, this stop is worth your afternoon.

Stave & Stone earns its Wild Card badge not through volume or imported names, but through genuine varietal curiosity — a Gorge winery willing to make Gruner Veltliner and Petit Verdot and price the whole card fairly. If you're passing through Hood River and want to drink local without drinking predictable, this list is worth your time.

Analemma earns its Wild Card badge by doing something most Oregon producers won't: planting Mencía and Grenache in the Gorge and committing to it fully. The list is short, but every bottle has a reason to exist. If you're driving through Hood River and want to taste something that doesn't feel like every other Pacific Northwest tasting room, this is your stop.

Minero isn't a wine destination — it's a taco and mezcal destination that happens to have a wine list worth a second look. The regional lineup suggests someone with actual taste curated this, which is more than you can say for most fast-casual Mexican spots. If you're here and not drinking mezcal, ask what's cold and crisp from Vinho Verde or Friuli country — your Fried Catfish Taco will thank you.

Barrio Queen Glendale is a margarita destination that happens to have a wine list as a formality. If you're coming for wine, recalibrate — order a cocktail, enjoy the food, and save your wine curiosity for somewhere that returns the favor.

Chicheria is not a wine destination, and it isn't trying to be. The $38 bottle price is fair for what L.A. Cetto delivers, and the $10 glass keeps things accessible. But if wine matters to you on a given night, you'll want to either call ahead about corkage or make peace with a margarita.
