Walk into Flock and the wine list lands on the table like a statement — 120+ labels in a Fort Myers strip mall is not what you expect, and that surprise works entirely in their favor. The room feels upscale without being stiff, and the list backs up the vibe with real producers and real range. This isn't a restaurant that threw a few Cabs on a chalkboard and called it a wine program.
The list leans into the classic pillars — Napa, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany — and does it with conviction, pulling names like Domaine Leroy and Château Margaux that you'd expect to find in a serious wine bar in a major city, not southwest Florida. Duckhorn Napa Valley Cab anchors the American side and gives people a recognizable name with actual credibility behind it. The $38–$150 bottle range means there's genuine floor-to-ceiling spread, not just a cluster of mid-range fillers with one trophy bottle for show. We'd love to see more Southern Hemisphere or natural wine representation to round out the edges, but what's here is executed with intention.
Sixteen pours by the glass at $11–$18 is a solid program — enough options to make a full evening out of glass pours without feeling trapped. The range suggests they're not just recycling the cheapest bottles into the BTG slots, which is the usual sin. We'd push the kitchen to rotate the BTG list more aggressively so regulars have a reason to keep exploring.
Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon — $38 (estimated bottle entry)
Duckhorn is a name people recognize for good reason — it consistently delivers polished Napa Cab without the ego pricing of its neighbors. Finding it at the lower end of Flock's bottle range makes it the smart move for anyone who wants quality without overthinking it.
Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanée
Most people at a Florida wine bar are scanning for something familiar. Leroy on a list in Fort Myers is borderline absurd in the best way — this is one of Burgundy's most revered domaines, and if it's priced anywhere near reasonably, it's the kind of bottle you order just to say you did it.
Château Margaux 2015
Listen, it's Château Margaux and the 2015 vintage is exceptional — we're not disputing the wine. But trophy bottles at restaurants carry trophy markups, and unless Flock is pricing it unusually close to retail, this is the bottle you Instagram and your dining companion pays for. Save the Margaux for a wine shop.
Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon + Homemade Short Rib Ravioli
Braised short rib filling has the fat and depth to stand up to Napa Cab's structure, and Duckhorn's fruit-forward profile softens the richness without fighting it. This is the combo you order when you want to feel like you made a smart decision without having to think too hard.
🔥 The Bottom Line
Flock Wine Bistro is punching well above its zip code — a sommelier-led list with over 120 labels, legitimate producers, and fair pricing in a market that doesn't usually demand this level of effort. If you're in Fort Myers and you care about what's in your glass, this is the place.
Downtown River District · Fort Myers · Japanese, Sushi
Blu Sushi Downtown isn't a wine destination, but it's a perfectly functional place to have a decent glass while eating good rolls in a fun room. Send your friend here for a night out — just tell them to skip the Rombauer.

Mori Sushi & Grill isn't the place you go for a wine adventure, but the list is priced fairly and the Sauvignon Blancs do real work alongside the food. Grab a glass of Nobilo, order the sashimi, and don't overthink it.

Two Meatballs isn't a wine destination, but the Italian backbone of the list is honest and the pricing is fair enough that you won't feel robbed. Order the Barbera, get the baked ziti, and let the chaos of the dining room do the rest.

Non Chalance has all the right intentions — a chill wine bar vibe with small plates in a neighborhood that needed it — but the list leans hard on low-cost, high-markup retail staples that don't hold up under scrutiny. Come for the atmosphere, but go easy on the bottle orders.

Beacon Social Drinkery is a genuinely fun place to watch the sun go down — just don't come here expecting the wine list to match the altitude. Order a cocktail, enjoy the view, and if you must have wine, the Crios Rosé is your move.

The Silver King won't blow your mind, but it won't embarrass you either — and for a hotel restaurant in Fort Myers, that's a genuine win. Take the Leflaive, skip the Rombauer, and enjoy the river view.
