Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Del Frisco's Grille Hoboken is short — and not in the charming, curated way. Six labels, all California, heavily skewed toward one producer's portfolio, tells you everything you need to know before you even sit down. This feels less like a wine program and more like a brand partnership.
What we have here is essentially a Joe Wagner showcase — Belle Glos and Böen both belong to his family's portfolio, and Quilt is another Wagner-affiliated Napa label. Add two Westhoff red blends and you've got six bottles, zero regional diversity, and a list that could fit on a cocktail napkin. There's no Old World presence, no sparkling beyond the Blanc de Noir, no rosé as a standalone category, and no half-bottles. For a restaurant that carries the Del Frisco's name — a brand with serious steakhouse credibility — this list punches well below its weight class.
No by-the-glass data is available from our sources, which is itself a problem. A six-bottle list with no confirmed glass pours is a tough sell at dinner. We can't tell you what's pouring by the glass or at what price, and that opacity is not a good sign.
The Bottom Line
Del Frisco's Grille Hoboken has a wine list that feels like it was assembled by someone who attended one trade tasting and left early. Six California bottles, most from the same family of producers, with no pricing transparency and no confirmed by-the-glass program to speak of. If wine matters to your dinner, you're better off calling ahead to ask about corkage.

Sorellina is Hoboken's most reliable stop for Italian wine done with intention — not flashy, not overpriced, just a focused list that respects both the grape and your wallet. Send a friend here; they'll thank you.

Halifax is doing something genuinely worthwhile on the Hoboken waterfront — a focused, Old World-serious wine list that earns its Wine Spectator nod without requiring you to cross the river to find it. Not flashy, not perfect, but absolutely worth ordering a bottle.

Court Street is the wine list Hoboken deserves — well-curated, fairly priced, and anchored by a Wine Spectator credential that it's quietly earned for nearly a decade. Come on a Wednesday, order the Gaja, and ignore the Meiomi.
