Seventy-three labels in a small Oregon town isn't something you see every day. Cocorico's wine list reads like it was built by someone who actually travels — Galician Albariño sitting next to Cowhorn's biodynamic Spiral, a Crémant de Bourgogne sharing space with a Gruner from Sohnhof Social Club. This is not the list of a restaurant that phoned it in.
The list leans heavily into Pacific Northwest producers — Beaux Freres, Patricia Green, Cowhorn — while pulling in enough European depth to keep things interesting. Italy shows up well with a Cascina del Pozzo Barbera d'Alba and a La Fortuna Sangiovese; France gets represented through a Burle Rhône blend and a Maison Juissiaume Blanc de Blancs. The bubbles section is genuinely impressive for a restaurant this size: Gramona Cava, a Crémant de Bourgogne, a Lundeen Brut Méthode Champenoise, and a Borgo Maragliano Sparkling Rosé cover serious ground without chasing trophy bottles. Gaps exist — South America and South Africa are nowhere, and the red selection could go deeper — but the range they do have is thoughtfully curated.
Twelve by-the-glass options priced $10–$18 is a genuinely solid program. You get representation across bubbles, rosé, white, and red, and the picks aren't lazy — Beaux Freres Les Cousins at $18/glass and the Cowhorn Spiral at $14/glass are real wines, not filler pours. The glass-to-bottle ratio on most selections is the standard 4x format, which is fair but not remarkable.
The Bottom Line
Cocorico is quietly running one of the more interesting wine lists in southern Oregon — 73 labels, fair pricing, a bubbles section that punches above its weight, and a by-the-glass program that respects your intelligence. We'd send a friend here without hesitation, especially if they're the kind of person who orders Gruner instead of Chardonnay.
