Wingman Metrics
Twenty-four labels, all available by the glass — that's a bold, unconventional move that immediately sets Clark's apart from the average Atlanta chophouse. It's not a deep cellar situation, but there's clear intention here: someone actually curated this list rather than just phoning in a Cab-heavy default. The price ceiling at $138/bottle keeps this approachable, even if the by-the-glass tops out at $34.
The list punches above its weight for 24 labels. You've got Burgundy representation with Bouchard Père & Fils Pinot Noir 2018 and a Sylvaine & Alain Normand Aligoté 2023 — a Burgundy white that most steakhouses wouldn't bother with. There's Italian depth in the ForteMasso Nebbiolo 2023 and Arcanum 'Il Fauno' Super Tuscan 2022, plus a Numanthia Tinto de Toro 2014 that brings serious Spanish firepower. The white side earns points for the Hugel Riesling 2023, the Aperture Chenin Blanc 2023, and the Tenuta Regaleali 'Nozze d'Oro' Sauvignon Blanc — all left-of-center picks you wouldn't find at Fogo de Chão. Gaps show up in aged inventory and anything from the Southern Hemisphere beyond the Zaha Malbec.
The whole-list-by-the-glass model is either a revelation or a liability depending on how well they manage oxidation — if every bottle is open at once, quality control becomes a real concern. When it works, you can hop from the Domaine Ott Rosé 2024 to the André Pasdeloup Chardonnay 2022 without committing to a full bottle, which is genuinely useful for a table splitting proteins. At $15 on the low end and $34 at the top, the range is reasonable, though the upper glass prices start feeling like bottle money pretty fast.
Sylvaine & Alain Normand Aligoté 2023 — $15
Aligoté from a solid Burgundy producer at the floor price of the list is a quiet steal — crisp, mineral-driven, and leagues above what you'd expect at this entry point. Order it before someone reprices it.
Numanthia Tinto de Toro 2014
Toro is Tempranillo cranked up to eleven — dense, structured, and built for red meat. The 2014 vintage has age on it, which is rare on a list this size. Most tables walk past it for the Cab, and that's their loss.
Ride Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
A young, mass-market California Cab at steakhouse markup is the path of least resistance, and you're paying for the convenience. With the Numanthia and the Arcanum Super Tuscan sitting right next to it on the list, there's no good reason to default here.
ForteMasso Nebbiolo 2023 + Ribeye
Nebbiolo's high acid and firm tannins are basically engineered to cut through fatty, well-marbled beef. The ForteMasso is a lighter-touch Nebbiolo — not Barolo-serious — which means it works with the richness of a ribeye without overwhelming the table.

Clark's isn't trying to be a wine destination, but it's trying harder than most Atlanta steakhouses, and that effort shows in picks like the Aligoté and the Numanthia. If you're here for beef and want something smarter than the default Napa Cab, this list will reward a little attention.

Astor Court is a beautiful room attached to a wine list that stopped trying. Unless you're expensing it or you're here for the Sancerre, the bar program will treat you better than the wine list will.
