Wingman Metrics
The wine list at City Cafe & Bakery is exactly six bottles long — and every single one is 14 Hands. That's not a wine program; that's a wholesale order from Costco dressed up as a menu. To be fair, the pricing is reasonable, but there's almost nothing to get excited about here.
Six wines, one producer, zero surprises. 14 Hands is a Washington State brand owned by Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, and it's a perfectly drinkable, mass-market lineup — but it reads more like a hotel minibar than a considered wine list. You get the full 14 Hands roster: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. There's no depth, no regional exploration, no small producers, and no reason to think anyone spent more than ten minutes curating this. If you were hoping for something to geek out over, you won't find it here.
All six bottles are available by the glass at $8.25, which is at least a consistent and honest approach. The selection covers the obvious bases — something white, something red, something pink — but every pour comes from the same producer at the same price point, which makes the "by the glass" program feel more like a formality than a feature.
The Bottom Line
City Cafe & Bakery is not a wine destination, and the list makes no effort to pretend otherwise. If you're stopping in for coffee, a pastry, or a casual lunch, that's the move — the wine is an afterthought and should be treated as one. Order the Rosé if you must, skip the Cab, and save your wine curiosity for somewhere that earned it.
· Fayetteville · Italian Steakhouse
Enzo puts in more wine effort than most Italian steakhouses in its zip code — the Nebbiolo and Barbera alone signal someone gave a damn about the Italian half of the concept. Markups lean steep rather than punishing, and having every bottle available by the glass is a real guest-friendly move. If you're in Fayetteville and want a credible glass of wine with your dinner, this is the play.

· Fayetteville · Rooftop Gastropub
Oliver's Twist isn't a wine destination — it's a rooftop bar with a short, honest list that doesn't embarrass itself. The markup is fair, Stoller and Jermann give you something worth ordering, and the setting does the heavy lifting. Come for the view, drink the Pinot Noir, and set your expectations accordingly.

· Fayetteville · Mexican
CT Cantina is here for the tacos, and honestly, you should be too. The wine list is a functional afterthought — safe brands, no pricing transparency, and zero personality. Order a margarita, grab a beer, and revisit the wine question somewhere that's actually thinking about it.

· Fayetteville · Wine bar and market
The Hummingbird is punching above its weight class for a suburban Georgia wine bar — a Skin Contact pour and a Pinotage on a 12-bottle list in Fayetteville earns real credit. We'd send a curious wine drinker here without hesitation, especially if they're tired of the same Kendall-Jackson Chard that dominates every other spot in the 'burbs. Pricing and full glass program details remain unconfirmed, so go in with an open mind and ask questions — the staff sounds friendly enough to make that worth it.

· Fayetteville · Southern small plates
Prologue is doing more for Fayetteville's wine scene than Fayetteville probably realizes. The list is focused, the pricing is fair — particularly on the whites and sparklers — and the by-the-glass program gives casual diners real options without pushing them into a bottle commitment. If you're eating here, skip the reflex Veuve order and let the list actually work for you.

· Fayetteville · Bookstore Cafe & Wine Bar
Scholar & Scribe is the kind of place that earns a Wild Card badge without even trying — a bookstore cafe in suburban Georgia with Barolo, Sancerre, and Champagne on the menu is just inherently surprising. The list is short but shows real curation, and the experience-based format makes it accessible for guests who don't typically dive deep into wine. If you're anywhere near Fayetteville, this one is worth the detour.
