The wine list at BWW Cedar Rapids isn't really a wine list — it's a footnote at the bottom of a laminated menu that exists primarily to sell you a Bud Light. You get the immediate sense that whoever ordered this wine program did so by typing 'cheapest wine brands' into Google and calling it a day. If you came here for wine, we need to have a talk.
Barefoot. That's essentially the whole story. Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon, Barefoot Chardonnay, and Barefoot White Zinfandel anchor a list so thin it barely qualifies as a list. These are $7 grocery store bottles served in a setting optimized for 47 screens and blue cheese dipping cups. There are no regions worth discussing, no producers worth mentioning, and no indication that anyone on staff has thought about wine for more than thirty seconds. The White Zinfandel in 2025 is a particular choice.
Four by-the-glass options is technically a number, but context matters. When all four are commodity Barefoot pours, the count stops being a selling point. There is no rotation, no seasonal thinking, and no sense that these selections will ever change as long as the franchise agreement holds.
Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon — null
If you're truly committed to ordering wine here, the Cab is your least-bad option — at least it has enough body to stand up to a saucy wing without completely disappearing. That's a low bar, but it clears it.
Barefoot Chardonnay
Nobody orders Chardonnay at a sports bar, which means you also won't be judged for it. It's cold, it's fine, and on a hot day watching a game, it's marginally more interesting than you'd expect from a $7 retail bottle. Hidden gem is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
Barefoot White Zinfandel
Sweet, pink, and proudly living in 2003. It has no business being on a menu anywhere near a basket of traditional wings. Skip it and order a craft beer instead — this kitchen has better options.
Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon + Traditional Wings
The Cab's fruit-forward sweetness and soft tannins won't fight the Buffalo sauce the way a tannic red would. It's not a pairing worth writing home about, but it's the one coherent choice this list offers.
❌ The Bottom Line
Buffalo Wild Wings Cedar Rapids is not a wine destination — it's a sports bar that technically serves wine the way a gas station technically sells food. Order a beer, enjoy the wings, and save your wine curiosity for literally anywhere else in Cedar Rapids.
Cedar Rapids · Cedar Rapids · Italian
Biaggi's isn't a wine destination, but the Italian-forward list does enough right that you can drink well if you know where to look. Stick to the Italian bottles, avoid the obvious crowd-pleasers, and you'll leave satisfied.

Midtown Reserve is doing more with wine than anyone in Cedar Rapids has a right to expect, with a list that actually has some range and genuine finds if you look past the house pours. The markups are real and the glass program plays it safe, but for a serious dinner in Iowa, this is absolutely where you want to be drinking.

Butcher's Block is a reliable steakhouse wine list that does exactly what it's supposed to — get Napa Cab on the table with a great piece of beef. It won't excite the adventurous drinker, and the markups sting a little, but if you're here for the meat, the wine will do its job.

Parlor City is a genuinely fun neighborhood pub, and the daily happy hour makes the wine situation tolerable — half-price Moscato d'Asti at 4pm is a perfectly fine life choice. But if wine is your priority tonight, this isn't your stop.

Granite City is a perfectly fine place to drink a pint brewed on-site — that's genuinely the move here. The wine list exists as a formality, not an invitation, and the markups on grocery-store bottles aren't doing anyone any favors.

Chili's Cedar Rapids is not a wine destination, and it has absolutely no interest in becoming one. Order the margarita, enjoy the ribs, and save your wine curiosity for a restaurant that shares it.
