The wine list at Bravo! Lansing reads like a greatest hits album from the grocery store wine aisle — familiar faces, zero surprises. It's a corporate list deployed chain-wide, which means it was built for volume and comfort, not discovery. That's not automatically a crime, but it does set expectations early.
You're looking at 30-50 labels anchored by Italian standbys and California crowd favorites — Ruffino Chianti Classico flying the Italian flag, Santa Margherita and Ecco Domani covering Pinot Grigio from two different price tiers, and Josh Cellars Cab holding down the California corner. New Zealand shows up via Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, which rounds out the international trifecta just enough to check that box. There's no real depth here — no Barolo, no Amarone, nothing that makes you linger on the list — but the selections are competent and reliably drinkable. Think of it as a wine list built to not offend anyone, which means it also won't excite anyone.
Ten to fifteen options by the glass is a reasonable count for a casual Italian chain, and the pours cover the major bases: white, red, light, bold. Rotation doesn't appear to be a priority — this is a set-and-mostly-forget program with the same recognizable labels week to week. The one genuine bright spot is Wine Wednesday, when every glass drops to $7, which suddenly makes even a Steep-markup list worth engaging with.
Ruffino Chianti Classico — $7
On a Wednesday, this is genuinely good value — Chianti Classico at $7 a glass is hard to argue with. It's the one bottle on this list that actually belongs in an Italian restaurant, and at half-price it drinks way above what you're paying.
Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio
Most people reach past Ecco Domani straight for the Santa Margherita because the name recognition is stronger, but Ecco Domani is lighter, crisper, and honestly a better fit for the food here. It also almost certainly comes in at a lower price point, making it the smarter pour.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Santa Margherita is a fine wine that has been marked up into oblivion at casual dining chains for thirty years. You're paying for the bottle's reputation more than what's in it, and at chain restaurant prices that premium stings. Save it for a wine shop where the markup is honest.
Ruffino Chianti Classico + Pasta Bravo
Chianti Classico and a tomato-forward pasta is as close to a sure thing as Italian-American dining gets. The wine's natural acidity matches the acidity in the sauce and keeps the whole plate feeling fresh rather than heavy.
Wednesday — $7 Wine Wednesday — every glass of wine on the menu is $7, available at the bar and outdoor terrace at participating locations. Check local compliance rules.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Bravo! Lansing is not a destination for wine lovers, but Wine Wednesday turns a steep, predictable list into something genuinely usable. Come on a Wednesday, order the Chianti Classico, and let the list be what it is.

El Azteco is a beloved college-town institution, and the wine list knows its place — it's there so you can technically order wine, not because anyone thought hard about it. Stick to the margaritas; they're the real program here.

Beggar's Banquet is a beloved East Lansing institution and the wine list reflects that — it's comfortable, familiar, and a little overpriced. Come on a Wednesday when half-price bottles make the steep markups survivable, order the bubbles, and remember that the beer list is probably the real reason everyone keeps coming back.

Zoobie's isn't where you go to geek out on wine, but if you're meeting friends for dinner in Old Town and someone at the table insists on a glass, you won't be stuck with regret. Grab the Malbec or the Mawby rosé, let everyone else argue about the beer list.

Victoria's is doing more with wine than it has to for its market, and that deserves real credit. The markups are a frustration, but the depth and the 26-glass program make it the best wine option in the room — and probably the zip code.

Carrabba's Wichita isn't a wine destination, but it's a perfectly decent place to drink wine — especially on a Wednesday when the bottle prices come down to earth. Send a friend here for a casual weeknight dinner without hesitation; just don't send them expecting to be surprised.
