Wingman Metrics
The list reads exactly like what it is — a well-run national chain that put some thought into its wine program without swinging for the fences. Nothing here will make a wine nerd's jaw drop, but the prices are honest and the by-the-glass options are broad enough to cover most of the table. The daily happy hour, though, is the real story.
Thirty to fifty bottles spanning California, Oregon, Italy, and a handful of other imports — it's a hits-only playlist, and Bonefish knows it. You'll find Kim Crawford, Meiomi, La Marca, and Chateau Ste. Michelle anchoring the list, which are crowd-tested labels that won't confuse anyone. The depth stops at the shallow end — there's no old-world deep cut, no skin-contact oddity, no grower Champagne hiding in the back. What's here does the job for a table of mixed wine drinkers splitting Bang Bang Shrimp.
Ten to fifteen pours priced $9–$16 gives you a reasonable spread for a chain seafood spot — there's usually a crisp white, a rosé, a couple of reds, and La Marca Prosecco for the table-starter crowd. During the 4–6:30 PM daily social hour, select glasses drop to $6, which changes the calculus considerably. Rotation is minimal; don't expect the list to look different next month.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling — $9
One of the most food-friendly whites in the entire chain-restaurant world at a price that's hard to argue with. Off-dry enough to tame spicy dishes, clean enough to work with fish. At happy hour pricing, it's a genuine steal.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling
Most people walk past a Riesling at a seafood grill and grab the Sauvignon Blanc out of habit. That's a mistake here — the Ste. Michelle has the acidity and slight residual sweetness to actually stand up to the kitchen's bolder preparations, and it's consistently underordered at tables that would love it.
Meiomi Pinot Noir
Meiomi is everywhere, priced the same everywhere, and built for people who want something that tastes like fruit punch with a cork. There's nothing wrong with it technically, but at full bottle price you can do better — and if you're ordering red at a seafood grill, this jam-forward style isn't doing the food any favors.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc + Grilled Atlantic Salmon
Kim Crawford's high-acid, citrus-forward profile cuts cleanly through the salmon's fat and smoke without overwhelming it. It's a textbook match — bright wine, rich fish, done.
Daily — Daily Social Hour runs 4:00–6:30 PM with select wines by the glass at reduced pricing (typically $6 per glass). No single dedicated half-price wine night — the discount program runs every day.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Bonefish Aurora isn't a wine destination, but it's a solid, fairly-priced list for what it is — and that daily happy hour window makes the whole program punch above its weight. Come for the seafood, order the Riesling, and don't miss the 4 PM pour.
