It's not trying to be everything — it's trying to be the best Washington wine stop in Coeur d'Alene, and it mostly pulls it off.
The backbone here is a tightly curated Washington State roster that hits Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain, and Wahluke Slope with genuine intention. You've got Dineen Vineyards showing up three times — Cab Franc, Syrah, and a Heritage Red Blend — which signals a real relationship with a producer worth knowing. Liberty Lake Wine Cellars brings Carmenere and Zinfandel from Red Mountain, which is exactly the kind of regional specificity we want to see. Leonetti is legitimately great, and we respect the flex — but $850 for a magnum at a wine shop in Coeur d'Alene is a conversation piece, not a drinking decision. If you're in the market for this bottle, you already know where to find it. Everyone else, move along.
Dineen Vineyards Syrah 2022 + Charcuterie board
A Washington Syrah with the kind of savory, peppery backbone that makes cured meats sing.
