The list runs 15 to 30 bottles deep and stays firmly planted in its own backyard — Walla Walla Valley producers front to back. You're looking at names like Trio Vintners, Foundry Vineyards, and Reininger Winery, which is a genuinely solid local lineup that skips the generic grocery-store fare entirely. The regional focus is the whole point here: this isn't a restaurant trying to be a wine bar, it's a restaurant that cares enough to pour its neighbors' work. The gap is obvious — no Burgundy, no Barolo, no international depth — but that's not the play, and we're fine with it.
Four to eight pours by the glass in the $8–$13 range, which is honest pricing for Walla Walla. The selection likely rotates through the same local producers on the bottle list, so you're getting real wine from real producers without committing to a full bottle over tacos. Reininger Winery Syrah — $13/glass
Reininger makes serious Syrah from one of Washington's best appellations. If this is pouring by the glass at $13, you're getting a taste of a producer that routinely outperforms its price point — order it before the bottle list even crosses your mind.
Foundry Vineyards Tempranillo
Most people gloss over Tempranillo outside of Spain, which is exactly why this one is worth your attention. Walla Walla's warm summers and volcanic soils push Tempranillo into bold, structured territory that most diners don't expect from a Washington producer — and the price on this list won't hurt.
Trio Vintners Grenache
Trio makes good wine, no argument there. But Grenache at a BBQ-meets-taco spot with big, smoky flavors on the plate tends to get lost — it's a lighter-framed red that shines in the right context, and this probably isn't it. Grab the Syrah instead and let Grenache live its best life somewhere quieter.
Reininger Winery Syrah + Gas Station Tacos
Smoke, char, and bold seasoning need a wine with enough backbone to push back. Reininger's Syrah brings dark fruit and peppery grip that holds its own against the fatty, punchy flavors of AK's signature tacos without wiping out what makes them great.
