Wingman Metrics
Walk into a steakhouse expecting a wall of Cabernet and Malbec, and AG immediately throws you a curveball — this wine list is almost exclusively dessert and fortified wines. Eight labels deep, zero Bordeaux blends, and more Puttonyos than you'll find at most dedicated wine bars in Atlanta.
This is not a conventional steakhouse wine program by any stretch. The entire list reads like a love letter to the sweet and fortified world: Sauternes, Tokaji, Banyuls, Brachetto, and three different Tawny Ports anchoring the lineup. The Royal Tokaji duo — a Late Harvest 2017 at $18/glass and a 5 Puttonyos Aszú Red Label 2016 at $23/glass — shows genuine curatorial intent, not just an afterthought dessert section. The Chateau Laribotte Sauternes 2018 at $145/bottle is the lone bottle-format option we can confirm, which makes the overall list feel intentionally curated around the glass experience.
Seven of the eight wines are available by the glass, which is the right call for a list this specialized — most people aren't committing to a full bottle of Banyuls on a Tuesday. Prices run $16 to $34/glass, with the Graham's 20 YR Tawny Port sitting at the top of that range, which is reasonable for aged Tawny of that caliber.
The Bottom Line
AG is a genuinely strange wine program for a steakhouse, and we mean that as a compliment — if you're the kind of person who knows the difference between a Late Harvest and a 5 Puttonyos Aszú, this list will surprise you. Come for the red meat, stay for the fortified wine flight you didn't know you needed.

Taco Mac's wine list exists because legally it has to, not because anyone cared to build it. If you're here for the wings and the game, order a beer — that's what this place does well. The wine program is a Lazy List in every sense: overpriced for what's in the glass, staffed by a rotating crew unlikely to talk you through it, and assembled without a single interesting choice.

THREE isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that abundantly clear. If you're here for cocktails or the bar scene, you're probably in the right place — but if wine matters to you even a little, this four-item lineup isn't going to do much for you. Order the House Champagne at $5, accept the situation for what it is, and move on.

Atlanta · Atlanta · Better Burger
Yeah! Burger has no business having a wine list this considered, and that's exactly why it works. An all-organic, all-by-the-glass program priced between $5 and $9 at a fast-casual burger spot is the definition of a wild card. If you're in Atlanta and want a genuinely fun, low-stakes wine experience with zero pretension, this is it.

Atlanta · Atlanta · Vegan Soul Food
Bar Vegan isn't a wine destination — it's a vegan soul food bar with a short, functional list that serves the room. Some markups are hard to justify, and the list won't impress anyone who came in looking for something interesting. But the Black Girl Magic Red Blend and the J. Lohr bottle price show there's a little thought behind the selections. Come for the food and the vibe; the wine is just along for the ride.

Ponce City Market · Atlanta · Mexican
Minero isn't a wine destination — it's a taco and mezcal destination that happens to have a wine list worth a second look. The regional lineup suggests someone with actual taste curated this, which is more than you can say for most fast-casual Mexican spots. If you're here and not drinking mezcal, ask what's cold and crisp from Vinho Verde or Friuli country — your Fried Catfish Taco will thank you.

Varuni Napoli's wine list is small but it's doing real work — Italian-leaning, fairly priced, and stocked with at least two bottles (the Aglianico and Falanghina) that prove somebody cared. It earns the Wild Card badge because finding a Brunello and an Aglianico at a neighborhood pizza spot is genuinely surprising. Come for the pizza, stay for a glass of something you wouldn't expect.

Silverado Steak House isn't trying to win any wine awards, and it doesn't need to — the list is fair, functional, and occasionally punches above its casino-floor weight class. If you're eating steak at South Point and want a solid glass without getting robbed, this list has your back; just stay away from the bottom shelf and head straight for the Davis Bynum or the Symmetry Meritage.

Clarks runs a leaner-than-average wine list for a steakhouse, but the curation punches above its size — the presence of the Normand Aligoté, the Juillot Pinot Noir, and the Pallières Grenache on the same list as Faust and Stag's Leap tells you the buyer has range. The full-list by-the-glass program at mostly fair markups makes this worth exploring beyond the obvious Cabernet order. If you're eating steak in Atlanta and want something more interesting than your usual Napa pour, this list rewards curiosity.

Capital Grille Lombard is a reliable execution of a familiar formula — known producers, full by-the-glass access, and enough range to keep the table happy even if the list doesn't take many risks. Markup is steep across the board, but the Prüm Riesling at $11 and Substance Cab at $13 are genuine value plays hiding in plain sight. If you're here for a business dinner or a celebration and want wine without surprises, it delivers. Just don't expect the list to challenge you.
