The wine list at Hu. Bistro is short and to the point — six glasses, no fuss, no pretense. What catches our eye immediately is the pricing: these are roof-bar pours that don't feel like a penalty for wanting wine with a view. Someone here made sensible choices, and that's more than you can say for most hotel-adjacent spots.
The list punches above its size by covering real ground: a German Riesling from Selbach, a Champagne from J. Lassalle, California Cab and Chardonnay, a rosé, and a Sauvignon Blanc. That's Old World, New World, and bubbles in six slots — not bad. There are obvious gaps (no Pinot Noir, no red outside the Cab, nothing from Spain or Italy), but given the format, the curation shows intent. Liquid Geography Rosé and Point and Line Sauvignon Blanc signal that whoever built this list was paying at least some attention to what's interesting.
Six options at $10–$18 is a lean but workable lineup. The J. Lassalle Champagne at $18 a glass is the top of the range and worth it if you're celebrating something or just like to start right. The rest cluster between $10 and $13, which keeps experimentation low-risk. No visible rotation program, so what you see is what you get.
Selbach Riesling — $10
Ten dollars for a Selbach Riesling is the kind of thing that should happen more often and almost never does. This is a serious German producer selling at a price that makes ordering two glasses feel responsible.
J. Lassalle Champagne
J. Lassalle is a small, family-run Champagne house that most people at a rooftop bar in Memphis have never heard of — and that's exactly why you should order it. At $18 a glass, you're getting real Champagne from a real grower, not a big-house brand dressed up in a fancy flute.
Imagery Chardonnay
At $12 it's not a rip-off, but Imagery Chardonnay is the safe, forgettable middle-of-the-road pour that exists to not offend anyone. With the Selbach and the Liquid Geography Rosé both available for less or the same, there's no reason to land here.
Liquid Geography Rosé + Unknown — menu data unavailable
We'd point this rosé at anything light and summery on the menu — it's built for a rooftop situation. Unfortunately the food menu data wasn't available to us, so we'll leave the specific dish call to you.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Hu. Bistro isn't trying to be a wine destination, but its by-the-glass list is priced fairly and built with more care than you'd expect from a hotel rooftop. If you're in Memphis and want a decent glass without getting gouged for the privilege, this works.

The Beauty Shop is a Wild Card in the best possible way — a funky, retro-cool restaurant with a wine list that has no business being this thoughtful. Markups keep it from greatness, but the glass pour selection and genuine regional variety make it worth ordering a bottle or three.

Tacoma · Tacoma · Bistro
Bar Bistro is genuinely surprising — a Tacoma neighborhood spot quietly housing some of Washington and California's most coveted reds. The list isn't balanced, the pricing reflects the prestige labels, and the vibe doesn't quite match what's in the cellar, but if you know what you're looking for, there's something real here.
